Did Robert Johnson ride a Gazelle? Which way did he go?
As far as I know there is only one known pic of Robert Johnson, and that was from his back.

I flew out from DC to Palm Sprimgs to do that ride! Lots of fun, gorgeous weather. Nice to be able to ride a century in February.

I went with SKS chromoplastic Blumels. I almost went with just some normal black fenders but a friend from the shop convinced me to do the silver to match the polished sections. I'm glad I listened as I love how it came out. It's a perfect fit with the 30mm Strada Biancas with maybe room for a 32mm bit it would be pushing it.

Somewhere in Wisconsin on a short tour with friends riding my first nice vintage bike -- a Centurion Pro Tour. Sold soon there after as it really wasn't my size
On the Trek that replaced the Centurion. I believe we were headed out to see the Nature Valley crit in Minnesota.

Here's a pic from yesterday's ride, BF member otg, and my sweetie and me with our vintage tandem.
Near the end of the ride another couple on bikes commented that we looked like we were dressed for winter. (The temperature hit the upper 70's.) I told him it was cold when we started. But the fact is, a nice SPF shirt can be more comfortable than sunscreen.

I think you all have seen the photo of me with my '85 Fuji Del Rey... But if not, here it is again. I was just fiddling around with it, oiling the chain and derailleur, checking the air pressure, etc... and decided to take a very quick spin around the block. No fancy lycra outfit or anything, I rode just how I looked in the photo since the overall distance was like 2.5 miles if that. Anyway, I had asked my wife to come out and snap a photo of me with the Fuji standing behind my pickup truck in the driveway.
Yes, I know... It's a BIG bike (25" frame), but it was a great buy at $120 bucks on Craigslist. Look at it... It's still in darn near mint condition for being 30 years old. The college kid from the Craigslist ad took real good care of it and before that (it was his dad's old bike), it must have been kept as a "garage queen" for 20-25 years or so. It's a classic, it's "old school", and it's perfect!
Edit: I fall into 4 other categories/forums on here.
Classic-Vintage - - - My '85 Fuji Del Rey.
50+ - - - I'm 54.
Clydesdales/Athenas - - - I'm 6'0" and 208 lbs (desperately trying to get down to an even 200 or lower).
Road Cycling - - - Even though I'm probably looked at as a "Fred", I enjoy getting out and putting some mileage on the roads instead of the trails on a suspension Mtn bike.
