Help with RSW16

Hi:
My RSW has developed a kickstand problem I cannot figure out. Suddenly, without warning the stand now goes too far forward, and the bike leans over so far the slightest touch and it falls over. I checked the stands rollpin, it is where it belongs and looks in good shape. There is hardly any wear on the slots in the mount, and the spring seems fine. Any ideas? I do not know why it did this, one day it was fine, the next it wasn't. I was thinking maybe someone in the past had put something in there to stop this problem, and it has fallen out, but if that is so, they were a much better engineer than I am, as I could see no way to do anything to fix it.
thanks in advance,
Preacher
