New hoods for old shifters ?

I have some shimano 600 sti shifters that work real well but arent that comfortable. Does anyone know where to buy new hoods for them or have any tips/tricks?

If you feel you need more padding, raise the handlebars.

I was thinking this but that would mean giving up my pantographed 3T stem
