Dropout width?

Dropout width?
was there ever a bike design that had dropouts which where larger than 9.5mm wide (by wide i mean the opening width on the dropout).
My bike looks to have a 10.6mm dropout width, im wondering if they are just screwed up.

Vintage road bikes, my special interest, had two different front drop spacing - 95mm and 100mm Your bike is pretty close. Fit the wheel and look to see if it sits evenly between the fork blades.

10mm is normal for the rear axle. There are other sizes but not typically on road bikes. The dropout should be only slightly larger. 10.1mm. The typical front axle is 9mm with 0.1mm for fit room. Lots of road bikes get splayed drops if overused or overtightened.

Hmmm the Sturmey anti rotation washers are 9.5 mm at the largest. I guess they wanted some space to easier removal.
And my bike have been heavily used and tightened. Maybe ill just push them back into place.
