Help Identify My Vintage Peugeot Mixte

Would love some help identifying this Peugeot Mixte that i picked up. I assume it's a UO18 Not sure of the year and it has a hand shifter for the 5-speed that seems to be somewhat rare. I've attached the photo here and would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for the input.

Your bike is only the second one I"ve ever seen with those brake levers! I've got them on an Oscar Egg Mixte (licensed for and by Peugeot). Mine is approximately a '72, and given that yours has nearly the exact components (though yours does have the suicide shifter - I LOVE it!), I'd place it at about that age as well.

There are several web sites dedicatd to Peugeot bicycles. You can use the serial number and the style of the decals and head badge to figure out the approximate year your bike was built.

Check out this one: https://retropeugeot.com/ scroll down to 'UO8-Type' Frames, Decals and badges

one more: https://cyclespeugeot.com/ModelID.html

Pictures of my late 60's UO18 can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stl914/...7622060915115/

My '71 UO8 can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stl914/...7622185336778/

Compare my Peugeots to yours to help approximate the year. I'm guessing late 60's like mine is.

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for the great info. In viewing all the sites that were suggested i've come to the conclusion that i've got a late 60s UO18. My serial # is 6 digits and the decals are from that period. I still haven't found any of them with the suicide shifter on the top tube. It's actually having some issues staying in the lower gears and upon taking it apart i'm not sure how to fix it yet. So if anyone has any info on that shifter please let me know. Hard to track down someone else that has one.

Thanks again for the help. I love the bike.
