There must be some more of these around, but I am not seeing them on the 'net'. A Canadian-made Peugeot PS-20 "Triatholon" in triple-butted Ishiwata-EX CrMo. 51 or so cm. It came from Randyjawa's 'old shed' and it's a long overdue project that will get my son aboard a sports bike.

There may be a few of these around, but try and find one. And if you do, it will not be in this original paint and chrome scheme. So, I claim this to be unique. Late 70's, early 80's Austrian Simplon 4-Star in Reynolds 531 db (frame tubes). A really gorgeous ride ... set up as SS ... and my current fave.

(There is at least one more like this in Madison, but I think they are rather rare.)

1989 Panasonic Team Titanium (including titanium fork):

Bikes: Two wheeled ones

I have a friend in Philly with one - the ti fork is pretty unusual.

Bikes: 1949 'Italian' , 1950 San Giusto, 1897 Union, and a number of "projects"... 198? Grandis, a couple of Mixte's...

Dancelli TT

Well, I have searched all over for Dancelli info, and this model of frame, but have not seen any, so I guess that makes it scarce at the minimum. Should build up nice with C-Record and Delta brakes !

Cheers,

Joe

Every time I see the title of this thread I think "If anyone else had it, then it would be yours. And if anyone else had another, then it wouldn't be unique."

So with that intro I feel obligated to post something:

#2 daughter on her Canadian built 20" (500a) Gitane. Quite the speed demon at the local velodrome.

Bikes: Sekine RM40 1980, Miyata 1000LT 1990, Raleigh Mixte Sprite 1980, Raleigh Grand Prix 1979

I'm sure there was a lot of these Canadian made 1980 Sekine RM-40's with the maple leaf headbadge, but I've never seen another one and cannot find a lot of info on them on the web... Most Sekine sites don't mention the RM-40, but that's what T-Mar said it was and it doesn't look like any of their other models (although it is similar to the RM-30, it did not originally have any chroming on it's forks and has a different badge). I suspect most of the others built are rusting away in someone's back yard or shed like this one was before I got it, or found their way into a dump.

Bikes: 72 Cilo Pacer, 72 Gitane GT, 72 Peugeot PX10, 73 Speedwell Ti,l, 75 Peugeot PR-10L, 80 Colnago Super, 81 Zinn, 85 ALAN Cross, 85 De Rosa Pro, 86 Look 753, 86 Look KG86, 89 Parkpre Team, 90 Parkpre Team MTB, 90 Merlin

You are not likely to see another one of these. Mostly known for their MTBs, Park Pre also made a few road bikes and sponsored my junior race team. I've spoken to a few of my former teamates, and I may be the only one who still has this original Park Pre team road bike.

My 1973 Ron Kit/Speedwell titanium is quite rare as well. In addition to the one Luis Ocana rode in the '73 Tour (maybe in a museum somewhere?), I am only aware of 4 other '73 Speedwell titanium frames in existence, according to the CR registry. Here is my recently polished, and soon-to-be-built frame:

This morning we did the Grand Rounds, but tossed in an out-of-town element by riding the North Star up to Big Lake and adding 31 miles of riding after the choo choo ride.

Yep, my John Hollands was the only one in sight today.

I don't think I've ever seen another Hollands in Minnesota.

I know they are around in the Baltimore area, but here, not so much.

Perhaps, but it is one of those bikes that we can't wait to see again!

Bikes: Tommasini Super Prestige, Kamra Triathlee, Nishiki Tri-A equipe', Sakai 2000

'87 Kamra (designed by Nishiki) - I've tracked down only a couple online so they're out there, but not very many apparently. Soon to be in the "frame doesn't fit" thread if you're looking for a 62cm (CTC).

And my newly acquired "Miyate". I know - not rare but maybe unique?

1960s Desiree

Early to mid 60s as found after sitting in storage for 30yrs(+-), now being restored/rebuilt. I seriously doubt there is another in existence anywhere. I'll post pics and story when I finish the resto.

@calstar: Whoa, quite the gear range on the Desiree! I wonder if that is a Spence Wolf mod on the rear derailleur. It looks similar to the mod shown HERE (yet slightly different). The "as found" pictures look better than some "restored" photos I've seen. Cool bike!

P.s. UCSB Gauchos!
