Be careful when selecting Campy bottom brackets. Earlier spindle tapers will not fit later cranks as the taper is different. It seems to me that the switch over was in 1978 but I am probably wrong.

Anyway, there are other concerns. Don't do what I did and try to fit a late model crank onto an early model spindle.

The old spindles were very, very close to being ISO. To be honest, other than Campy actualy stating 'ISO' in their literature I'm not sure there's much of a difference. I wrote a rather extensive thread/post on this not to long ago.

I was trying to run a later crankset (new, never used) on an early spindle and could not get the crank to run true and the bolts to stay tight. I didn't know about the spindle differences and pre-78 issues then. I just bought a late spindle, so when (if) I change it out, I'll report back. I can't say for sure whether the tapers didn't match, and I still had problems with the old crank when I put it back on (until I found the correct spot or orientation on the spindle). No more troubles.
