Any Flippers in DC or Philly?
I sold a bike to a young man who is spending the year teaching underprivileged kids in the DC area. He had the bike I sold him stolen within 2 weeks. He's not looking for anything high end, just something like a Trek Antelope of Specialized Street Stomper. He's about 5'8", if I remember.
If anyone here can help him out, let me know and I'll put him in touch with you. Not looking for charity, just doesn't want to be ripped off.
Thanks.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's/60's road bikes.
I wonder if Robatsu has any bikes left and if he is back from visiting his wife. He lives/lived in DC and he was purging for the move to Japan.

If I were him, I'd seek out the rustiest, ugliest example possible and get it mechanically sound.
I used to keep a pile of rusted parts around for anyone buying a cheap machine to use around South Beach / Miami Beach - enough so that I could build up such an ugly, rusty hulk that nobody in their right mind would steal it (or expect it to work). Coaster brake rear wheels really came in handy, for it allowed me to use the rustiest steel rims I could find without worrying about braking surfaces.

Tweakers will walk off with literally anything that isn't nailed down.

I don't have anything in stock, but I'm sure I could find him a good deal on CL. Can you give me an idea on size?

Aaron, He's 5'8", so something smaller. He's just looking for basic transportation, riding the paths sort of thing, probably not a road bike.
I'll shoot you a PM after I get back from dinner.
