Miele Beta identification

Hello all,
I'm in need of some knowledge concerning a Miele Beta I picked up recently. Specifically, I'd like to ID the year of manufacture and possibly get some catalog scans and\or specs on this beauty.

What I have is a Miele Beta in purple with dayglo "Miele" decals (see attached image) in very good condition.
- Tange 900 db tubing decal
- Shimano 600 group (6200 series which seems to date from 84-87)
- Miele by Ambrosio Durex "titanium" annodized rims
- Brake levers and parts on both derailluers have similar "titanium" color
- Miele headtube decal states "Made in Canada"
- Seems to weight in at about 22lbs

Any info from you Miele fans would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Gorgeous Miele! I have two, a Gara and a Lupa .. There's info out there on Jim Miele but it's sometimes hard to find .. Post more photos if you can .

Thanks Scott. It's definately an eye catching color scheme and it rides as good as it looks. Miele info is certainly hard to find. I've located all the basic info on the company but specific Beta info is nowhere I can find. If you know of any sources for this particular bike, please let me know. Keep an eye on this thread, I'll put up a few more images.

I have some Miele catalogues and brochures tucked away. I am going to scan and upload them to my website, MY "TEN SPEEDS", soon. Until then, you might find something interesting there now. Have a look at my limited edition Miele - to of the line and special issue. And a great bike to ride. I might add that it is one of the few bikes I have never even thought of selling.

Randy, I was doing some Miele research just last night and at one point ended up at your site. Very good info, I enjoyed the reading and I'm really looking forward to the new Miele scans. Thank you.
