That's a very ecclectic component selection. XTR derailler, TA cranks, Modolo levers and a Thomson set-back seatpost?
Looks good, though.

1. Early Ridley Spa Team Bike brake replacement and 8 spd brifters added
2. 84 Ciocc frame build
3. Early 90s Somec BB work
4. 80s Colnago replacement parts (just brake levers and tape) and new saddle and post-then is is done.
5. Clean the mess in the garage and install some more bike mounts so I can walk around

I got my bike hooks... but cleaning the mess? That's a perennial problem for me. I need Mary Poppins to come in and shape things up.

Finished a Koga Gran Racer with RX100 I picked up from CL. Pics tomorrow. It's been a while since I bought a bike that didn't need BB and headset overhaul. Eeeeeeasy.

BB and headset overhaul are some of the most challenging but fun things to do in my opinion.

I am working on an old Giant Yukon that I bought in 87. It was a nicely set up bike when it came out. Giant re-ordered their line later and the Yukon became an entry level mountain bike. In any case this one came with Deore components and a decent set of wheels. I'm trying to decide if I should put 700's on it a build it into my winter commuter. It's usefulness to me as a mountain bike has gone away so I need to do something with it.

I just replaced a worn sprocket on my Shimano 6-speed freewheel. That was rewarding. It was the only one that skipped, and I didn't want to buy a whole new freewheel. I had a freewheel I'm not currently using.

New (in 1975, courtesy of Dave Moulton's blog):

Before (as found):

Current back from Cyclart:

Just got a decent set of replacement crank arms from e-bay today (date code is 2 years newer, but I am no longer that picky) which should be the last of it. I simply need to re-build the rear wheel, and re-assemble the entire thing including wiring of the lights.

I do a lot of steep hillclimbing, grades of 15% plus and minus, and I'm older, thus the gearing. Those are Gipiemme alloy levers. The bike weighs 22.0 pounds.

Those are Modolo Master Pro brake calipers too. Notice the mountain bike rear brake pads... I ride down some steep grades.

Count me in.

Even cooler with the close ups.

That would easily be the fastest all around bike in town!

Tonight, we are putting the decal set on my Zullo Sprint.

I'm also laughing my a.... off, as I am trying to do a red and white weave handlebar wrap.

We watched a youtube video, and let's just say he's better at it than we are.

I may have to hire one of my kids to take care of this matter.

Picked these up after the St. Paul Bike Classic today.

Two of my buddies are looking for inexpensive tourers, and my wife's cousin had offered these to me in July.

Nice, solid bikes for $50 a pop. The MTB bike was in back was sold recently on CL.

The others will keep me out of trouble this winter!
