Restoration...99% Complete Before & After pics...

1983 Miyata 710. I bought it in a garage sale for $5 about 18/19 months ago...taking my time tearing her down and building her back up. Only thing left are the decals that I ordered through JRrestore. Hopefully I will get them this week so I can ride her next weekend when it's supposed to be beautiful weather!

I have taken some liberties with the restoration and altered a few things here and there.
All the compnents are original except for the RD but then that is a NOS duplicate of what originally came on the bike. New, slightly larger tires (27-1/4") Marathons. New wrap, hoods, cables and housing along with new spokes and saddle...everything else is original on the bike. I powder coated and tried to match the original as best as possible.

Before...

Before...

After...

After... artsy-ish shot.

I will post more and better pictures once I get the decals on.

Very nice, classy build.

Kind of looks like Bigbossman's Palo Alto....and that's a complement!

Nice job.
Good on ya for removing the crappy strap-on bottle cage.

A wonderful machine wonderfully restored ! White on red for this project = perfect choice. I would only suggest shortening the brake housing a little.

Thank you all very much. I have enjoyed my first build here. Next up is m wife's Clipper by Columbia. (Cruiser)
@ auchencrow...Yes, I agree, the brake housing will be shortened.
@ Collin2424...no I have not. Ordered about a week ago and from what I have read about other posts, JR is a little slow in delivering but WELL WORTH THE WAIT! I am a little impatient but then again....I've been building this thing over thr last 18 months or so ...so what's another week? LOL!!!

It would be much faster with a chain. Nice job on a nice bike.
