87/88 Specialized Sirrus weight?

Just curious. About how much should my Specialized Sirrus weigh fully built with stock 105 components? It's been a while, but I checked the dates on the components and they all matched up to an 87 or 88 bike. My scale tells me about 24.5 pounds. Does that sound about right?

Somewhere between 22 & 25 lbs. sounds about right. It depends on the NON-105 parts, especially the wheels. But saddle, seatpost, stem, bar, pedals, and cages all contribute.

I agree with frpax, it depends a lot on the wheels. I shaved over a pound off of my bianchi JUST from changing to a lighter set of (vintage even) wheels. Most steel frames made from good tubing are actually pretty close in weight. The fork is another thing to consider.

Yeah, I think my '89 was around 23-24.5 pounds before I added the fenders. Now it feels like 30.
