Where would I find a plug for a quill stem - the cosmetic plug.
I just got a nice 3t stem and h'bars that are going on my Ultraleggera - the stem is missing the little plug that covers up the adjusting bolt. I doubt that I will find a 3t plug, but I would expect to be able to find a little black rubber plug.
I hope I explained what I need well enough - I cant post a photo now, but hope my explanation makes enough sense to get an answer.

No, what I need is a little black plastic or rubber plug to cover up the hole in the quill stem - the stem is kind of aero and the adjusting bolt (to tighten the stem in the steering tube) is about 1/2" deep - and I need the little rubber plug to cover the hole the bolt is in.

Actually, someone pm'd me with a new plug that is being mailed as we speak. When I receive it I will post photos of the now finished bicycle.
It sure does look sweet, and I wouldn't have been able to complete it without some very generous people in this forum.

Still got mine. It's yours for $85.
You can probably get a generic black plug from your local shop. The mechanics always forget to put these back on the hybrids and cheap MTBs that they fix and build.

I've got three 3TTT stems that no one wants (dark grey, Ti, and alloy), all with the plug.
First thing that everyone asks: do you have the plug?
+1 On the Ti 3TTT quill (a $140 stem when new), the LBS, in its wisdom, swapped it out and forgot the plug. I had to look all over there for it. Now, nothing goes to LBS that may not come back (pedals, seat bag, cyclo, stem plugs, valve caps, etc.)
