need help
I am 66" tall... What is that in feet? i thought i was 5 foot 7 or 8.. I have a 31" inseam
so what size road bike would i ride then? I have been going by the 5 foot 7 height? would a 54CM frame be too big for me then or 65" I was going to spend a bit money on a bike today... just double checking.... this chart says 54cm. http://bicycling.about.com/od/howtor...ike_sizing.htm |
66 = 5-6. 54 might work. You need to test ride it some.
This is the chart I usually use, AS A STARTING point. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4022/...e8a_z.jpg?zz=1 |
+ 1 ... You need to test ride it some. - And then decide - (My chart says 56 but my correct size is a 60/62.)

Good chart. It will depend on the bike, the riding use and one's height.
Deduct 8 from your typical road size to get your equivalent MTB fit. |
My inseam is 30" and my bikes range from 53 cm to 56 cm. The 54 cm seem like the best fit. But, as others have said, ride it first and see how it feels.

I stand 68" = 5'8", with a 30" inseam, and the chart says 54-56cm. My Bianchi and both Capos are 55cm C-T, which I consider my ideal size. Having said that, I also note that top tube length and BB height are major factors, as well.
