What's my best bet for a cheap tubular wheel-set?

I've never seen a pressure rating on a tubular. Inflate to 100 psi or more. They're very narrow.

Again, just looking for some to try out to see if I like them before I invest $$$ into building a nicer set.
Thanks for the advice, though. I will make sure I get something of quality if I do decide to stick to tubular for my wheel build. Probably Record or something like that since the bike is an Ellis-Briggs, and then maybe find some other fitting parts for the rest of it at a later date in time.

I know this isn't a WTB thread or anything, but I've got a set of Mavic Gel 330 tubular rims laced to Mavic sealed cartridge hubs. They're very nice tubulars and I could talk to you via PM about price if you'd like. I'm not using them and haven't gone to the trouble of posting them either.

Collin, what spacing is the rear hub, and is it freehub or freewheel?

I bought 6 of the Yellow Jersey sew-ups earlier this year and have a set on one bike. They're on a set of Mavic GEL 330's with Mavic hubs. I have them at 115 psi. They were pretty rough riding (similar to my clinchers) for the first 75 miles or so and then seemed to mellow out. They're not as nice as the Sprinters, but I didn't expect them to be either. They're also not rough enough to make me want to go back to clinchers. Cost per tire was just over $18.
I see older good quality tubular wheelsets listed on C.L. a lot in the Seattle area - Campy, Mavic mostly. I've even seen them listed on the smaller town lists around the state. The WTB ad is a great way to go.
Glad you found a good set for a really good price.
