tricolor-equipped bikes

Hoping to find a donor bike for some 600 Tricolor parts, particularly one with brifters and dual-pivot brakes. I know the Trek 2300 comes with it, and I saw one Quintana Roo with the group as well. Any other ones of note?

I was once on a similar quest....
96-97 Lemond Zurich
93-97 Cannondale R900
97ish Team Fuji
Trek 5200
94-97 GT Fury
97 Jamis Eclipse

Many more I'm sure. Search bikepedia in the date range that the 8speed STI group was spec'd.

Funny timing on this thread. I picked up a Gardin yesterday with a really nice set of wheels fitted. Tricolor 600 hubs laced, with stainless steel spokes, to Mavic 614 deep-v wheels. Even the tires are in good shape. Now all I need is a bicycle to put them on since, as usual, the bicycle I just found, at 59cm, is just too big for me.

I'd be interested in that "big" frameset if she needs to move on down the road!

I know the schwinn aluminum 974 and that series had tricolor. Those frames were like the cannondale frames of the era, pretty cool. Wouldn't part that out.

I had an early 90's Pinarello Veneto that had the tri-color with brifters. I also had an early 90's Fuji Roubaix that came with it.

I think '92 would have been the ONLY year with both brifters and dual pivots as 600.
I didn't know that Ultegra had a tri-color version (it must? I never saw it).
Since the tri-color started in '88, wouldn't any 600 group bike between '88 and '92 have tri-color, or did they have a different 600 version going in parallel?
I thought EX existed in parallel with 600. I could be wrong.

Centurion Ironman Master, 1988 and 1989.

If the bike had 600 STI's, then it had dual pivot calipers.

I have an orphan dual-pivot rear 600 tricolor caliper, and don't need it; I need a long front brake bolt for a dual pivot caliper.
See my ISO post.

Shimano 600 Ultegra (aka Tricolor) came out in 1988. It got STI and 8 spped in 1992 and wasn't replaced by Ultegra until 1998..
