Stronglight Crank Set Query???

I pulled this Stronglight crank set off of a Peugeot Competition, or Super Competition.

In addition to Made in France, and Model Depose, the drive side has a 7 and an L stamped near the taper fit. The non-drive side bears similar text but has a 7 and a J near the made in and model info.

The crank arms are 170mm and have 14 x 125 pedal threads.

Any ideas as to what model the crank set would be? How about its vintage?

The model is a 49D, but I cannot tell you the vintage. I understand the differences between eras are fairly subtle.

Thanks for the information. I asked because the two other 49D sets I had the 49D stamped into the inside face of the hub. This set just might end up on an early seventies Bottecchia "Giro d'Italia".

Is it possible that this set could be from a mid eighties bicycle. This is a picture of the Peugeot I pulled the cranks off of. The black plastic dust caps suggest something from that era. Was Stronglight still offering the 49D in the mid to late eighties. Or is the Peugeot of earlier vintage?

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

I concur with "49D." It's early 80s at the newest. By mid-80s, the model 49 had been dropped and the extractor threads changed to "standard" 22.0mm x 1mm.
