Not a Merckx. Stamped drop outs, steel wheels, stamped steel cottered crank, etc, etc, etc.......
Whatever it is, very, very low end. Probably a bike boom dept store bike.

bummer - i got it with a puegeot mixte for 35$ - i was shopping for the mixte so this was just a 'bonus' - thought i might have something of value here - thanks for the feedback though - still curious as to the maker
