Help Identify my Bianchi pleeeeasseee!
I recently bought a bianchi frame on craigslist for 70 bucks. I want to build it up and give it to my girlfriend, but I would like to know something about the bike as well.
It's Celeste Green. On the top tube it says Cervino, but on the lower it says Campione Del Mondo 86-87 CO Springs.
The serial number is 70175772.
I googled Bianchi Cervino and all that came up were motorcycles.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Well, the serial number does indicate a 1987 or 1988 model. I don't recall a Bianchi Cervino though Nishiki did offer that model. Still, it could be a non-USA model. Pics would be a big help. Also the seat post diameter. Check inside the bottom of the fork's steerer tube for five spiral ridges. They're quite thin, so use a good light. Hopefully, Bianchigirll will be along shortly and provide more input.
Edit: Just found an old reference to a Piaggio era Bianchi Cervino ATB. I didn't even think to ask if it was an ATB!

that looks pretty nice I don't see alot of dings. it is an '87 model. someone else here has one. I am out of town but bump this on thursday and I will look itup for you. (I really need to learn to use my scanner and scann those into my 'puter)
OH that Campione sticker? that is on litterly thousands of Bianchis from '87 on. itsimply means a Bianchi bike was ridden to victory in the '86 World Championship. nothing to do with the model and does not add to is value. it does help identify post '86 bikes though

The bike is an 1987 Cervino. The OP has not posted in almost 9 years so I wouldn't expect a reply.

What parts? Most any bike shop should have most of what you need. Brake pads, cables, chain, spokes, grips. There isn't anything special about this bike that would require original parts nor would have more value if left original.
