Ronco Freez-a-matic Bike Lock

To the best of my recollection, this worked

I want one!

I was considering making a similar device that would climb a tree trunk to facilitate bear-proofing my food sack. Ever had to walk out from the backcountry on an empty stomach? It's no fun. Walking home from work because someone stole your bike would be similarly un-fun. Paying for a cab fare would be expensive. Losing the bike would be expensive.
