Victory is mine! 1985 Trek 620 for $50
I am the proud new owner of a Trek 620 made of Reynolds 531. Came with a rack and all, just missing the rear wheel... for the princely sum of $50! The craigslist gods were good to me tonight! Pics to follow in the AM It's blue, and my size. Sachs components.

I can't wait to see pictures! I too just scored a rough 620 (frame/fork), blue 58cm and would like to see what one is supposed to look like.

Well, it probably came with a Maillard Helicomatic hub, so either someone really hated it or, someone really loved it, and absconded with your wheel!
I'm anxiously await your pics... (I really like these Treks !)

If either of you guys would rather be on a gray 1984 56cm Trek 620... let's talk frame swap.
This is "as found" condition... it's been stripped and the derailleurs are sold.

It has sachs/Huret derailleurs that were orginal equipment, with a Shimano 600 crank. Odd setup, but it is what is listed in the original catalog. SR seatost and stem, non original seat. It did come with the original front wheel which needs a tire.

congrats! i'd have mixed feelings about great deals like these, though - i feel like these good deals only fuel my CL-checking bike obsession.

I'm looking forward to seeing photos, too! Does it have cantilever brazeons? My 720 doesn't, and that's my only complaint about it.

There she is. This one has Shimano XT brakes and 600 crank and levers, with Sachs/Huret shifters and derailleurs. I am getting it refinished in the same color, should be a really nice build when I'm done with it. I'll also be upgrading to 700C wheels and newer style brakes.

Great find, I think we're all looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. It's finds like these that have some of us checking CL multiple times a day. That's a pretty funny looking pump attachment gizmo there.

It appears to be in better paint condition than mine is. It should be a great ride when all built up.

Nice touring bike, so don't forget to look for a rear wheel with many spokes. If you're into touring, better buy a couple of lottery tickets. It looks like you are on a hot streak.

I have been looking for a touring bike for cheap for about 5 years now. It will serve as a commuter bike with all the goodies. I just have to figure out what kind of wheels I want for it, and whether or not I want to switch out the brakes and drivetrain.
