Jim,

Your beautiful Cinelli really screams out for a properly leveled out saddle and the addition of toe clips. If you do indeed put the bike up for sale, the wonky saddle angle will potentially cost you money.

Yeah I know. The saddle actually feels fine to me but I realize it looks wrong. And toe clips too. Also the brake cable lengths don't match up perfectly.

I'll fix all of that today. It's amazing some times what I don't notice until I take pictures and look at the pictures. I didn't really even notice it while I was taking the pictures and like I said it felt fine on the short test ride I took (which I took with modern pedals).

The input is always appreciated even if it does point out that I am a doofus

Hi BlueDevil63,

Congratulations on your beautiful Cinelli, I could admire it for hours.

And.....you have a better one? Is that possible?

This is my "better" one. It is a 58 so it fits me better. Although both my Cinelli SCs are supposedly 72s you will notice some differences. This one has an aluminum head badge, the other has a brass head badge. This one also has a slightly newer style Columbus sticker.

Most recent build for the stable: 1978 Colnago Super.

The '69 Masi Special is slowly gaining traction; should be complete, if not 100% PC, in a week or so.

Very nice.

They seem to remain a little bit of a "secret" overall.

Your black Special is one of my favorites.

Nice looking Colnago...! Who did the drillium on your seatpost...? Very unique.

><><

Late 80's/early 90's Super Corse...? Built it up w/ C-Record cmpnts & SRP Ti upgrade kit. I don't ride it all that much as I probably should, as it handles like a dream, esp w/ the Veloflex Tubulars...

I have to agree with callig, there are so many wonderful bikes displayed within this thread and I must say that the Italian marques are where my interests in bikes lie. I love this thread and thank all you guys that have contributed the photographs of your much loved Italian framed bicycles for me to admire.

One that rarely is to be seen especially this model Fondriest EL-OS with the chrome lugs.
A search on the net couldn't give the answer for what model this is.
It's from the mid 90's that's for sure.
Paintwork is rather special, but not as special as the masters.

I guess it's time to post a couple of mine before they're out the door.
Both 7s DuraAce equipped....I know.....but if I'm going indexed the DA was just better than Synchro

First - a Guerciotti from sometime in the late 7s era - late 80's, very early 90's.

And second, a Gianni Motta from probably '83 to '85 (shifter location)

And for a bonus, you can catch as glimpse of my new, not quite finished workshop in the background of the lower pic

Glad to see my baby (thread) is back!

Here is my current squeeze. I'm actually riding friction full time and am loving it so much. French fit all the way.

Sorry everyone.....sorry! I know I've just started a thread featuring this bike but i just couldn't resist adding it to this I-talions thread. Sorry.

Now.....there's an "Italian Stallions" thread somewhere in the archives isn't there? Better go searching for that one too.
