Chicago CL - Take it all for $5000
This may have been posted before, but this is looking better all the time. There are some really nice bikes and a ton of parts. Shelving too. Click on the pics to see bigger images.

Sad thing is, no ones jumping on this. This guy has been listing this stuff for quite a while.
Is the used bike market really dead or what? Sure its the middle of winter, but still.
Just makes me wonder how small a market vintage bikes are. I see a lot of new bikes out on the bike path, and very few vintage bikes.
What do you guys think?

Group buy?
BTW, this would make a great addition to the Box O' Crap thread.

Bikes: Two wheeled ones
How would a group buy work? I'd conceivably be interested.

Loving the two Klein mtb's a lot. That would fill up my shop in a good way.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's/60's road bikes.
He keeps posting the same stuff, even if it has already been sold. I wouldn't count on very much of it being there.

When he first put that post up, I queried his asking price on that Schwinn Circuit and offered him $25 less than his ask plus shipping and all I got was a lecture that went along the lines of 'thanks for trashing the value of beautiful vintage bikes'. He does have some nice stuff but his sales skills are sadly lacking.

One problem is you don't know what is good and what is not, and it would take forever to go through everything, so I would not bother. A $5000.00 crap-shoot is what I call it.

he's a little too excited about the supposed value of his collection.
he claims to have 30 or so bikes worth $400 or more? where? the schwinn circuits and peloton might fetch $3-400 if they were 100% ready to ride (at least in my area, southern california).
there are definitely some nice components here and there, some dura-ace and campy, but there's mostly crap, not seeing it.
i guess if i was retired and had nothing else going on it might be worth going through and selling off each item individually but wow, that would take forever, and most of it would be nickel and dime seat posts and stems.

Bikes: to many to list
Not I.

If everything pictured is actually still there and included I have no doubt you can eventually make your money back while keeping your few gems, just going to take a whole_lotta_time, though youre gonna have to keep or throw out a whole lot of crap too. Man I love the paint job on the premis, me wants one:

I emailed the guy asking about a box of components and a crankset. If someone really wants something and he agrees to sell me a few parts, I could consider facilitating some pieces(maybe a couple bikes) if you were to work out payment with him separately. I'll post here if he responds to my inquiry.
