Wow T-Mar - thanks! I think you nailed it. I only used the rear derailleur as a guide - the brake levers are not drilled & the rear derailleur has black wheels, not white. Triomphe it is! I didn't have pictures handy earlier, so here are a few. The guy I bought it from just had it in to the local Trek store for new cables & to clean & grease the bearings. Apparently they didn't want to bother to clean anything else - chainrings are a tad dirty, but in good shape.

Yes, that's definitely Triomphe. Personally, I never go by the derailleur pulleys, as they're too easy to change. I key in on ther bottom pivot bolt, which is larger on Triomphe. Also, the Triomphe crankset spider flares out slightly at the ends, where it meets the chainrings, whereas Victory does not. There are some other minor differences, but these three involve the 3 major components of the group and are relatively easy to pick out, even in relatively poor pics (which your aren't). Enjoy your new acquisition, keep the rubber side down and lastly, I offer you a slightly belated welcome to ther forums.

Finally I found other people struggling with same problem as me. I have sent e-mails to Bianchi and Bianchi "identification" but no response There are digits under the frame which from top are 56, 54 and P at gear side. And other side are 3 (after it comes some kind of dot),6 and 9 (or 8). Is there a way to identify it? It's a 1980's bike and there are no information about frame quality what so ever (dunno someone took them off). Here are some pictures https://www.flickr.com/photos/7077957...in/photostream. Hi Labour welcome to the forums. your in Europe somewhere? or are those plugs the bike looks like a topend model judging by the chromed fork crown, stay caps, and chainstay. the fork looks '86ish to me and I believe the flattish seatstays are from that era too.
I find the crank interesting, do you know if it came with those? or for that matter do you know what components may be original to the bike?

Almost all parts are Campagnolo's and Bianchi's cooperation and 3TTT. Yeah it's funny that this bike has Bianchi X4 crank. I have checked catalogs and there are these parts in every bike but no bike has all these.

I am thinking it is a bit newer than '83, but who knows. here in the states the upper tier bikes had a different decals in '83 then everything got that 'flag' style decal in '84. the fork crown shape looks more like I see in the '85 and '86 catalogs on some upperend bikes.
Now since your bike is in Finland none of that really applies so I would say the bike could be anywhere from '83ish to '87. judging from the chrome and the FD brazeon it is certainly a top of the line frame and likely built from Columbus SL maybe even with a SP downtube for the Bianchi Superset frame.
I would not be too hung up on the exact model, it is sure be a fabulous ride and a real head turner when built up

Here is another serial number
I'm pretty sure it's a japanese Bianchi with the serial number and the fact that it's fitted with shimano 600 (pre-ultegra). Just want to make sure, if anyone knows... If someone could tell me what model it is i'd be glad to know and also as anybody ever seen a Bianchi this color? I'm guessing the year is 1984 by the type of shimano 600 (not on the pictures)

iut is certainly a Japanese frame but I am not sure of the model. Bianchi does not seem to specify which tubing is used unless it is a Columbus frame, and most of the limited in the catalog seem to have what looks like Ishawata decals

@Bianchigirl, thanks for the reply. About the color, you seem to have seen a lot of bianchi, ever seen one in this color? The paint look original but Id like to make sure because if it's not I'll paint it celeste just for my pleasure.

I can't say that I have seen one that color but I have no reason to doubt it isn't the original paint. Bianchis, even Italian ones, came in all shades of the rainbow from black to white and everything in between. I see no issues with painting this provided you are honest about it and don't doll it up with tubing and other decals that don't belong on it.

The 'normal' place is somewhere in the BB shell but depending on the year, it could be on the bottom headlug, seatlug or the side of the seattube near the BB shell. I am not certain if Bianchi ever used the dropouts for serials though.

Well I still got the parts and this is recent state, haven't done anything permanent and yes my question was which parts they are, don't want to leave my bike over night anywhere if there is that kind of money in it, so can you identify those? The crank and seat post appear to be Campagnolo Corse Record (commonly refered to as C-Record) pantographed for Bianchi X-4 model.
They are nice parts but not worth having unless you have sweet Bianchi to put them on.
