First post in here. I came across this topic while looking after informations about vintage Bianchi's, and it seems to be the best place on the internet to know more about my last bike.
i just got this nice Specialissima (i guess?), but i'm a bit confused about its year (i feel between 81 and 83?).

If someone have a clue, i would be grateful :)

Frame have a 9.81 right side under seatpost and 846 left side. Nothing else except a star stamped on the bb.

Welcome to the forum. Based on the serial number format and location, it's definitety a high grade frame and was built during September 1981. September is right around the time when they started building the new models, so it could be 1981 or 1982 model year, though I'd be leaning towards a 1982 model.

As for the model name, that all depends on the component configuration and market in which it originally sold. Typically, Bianchi would market at least two different models using the same frame and model names were often left to the importer/distributor.

it's a shame i can't put pictures yet. The bike have alle the gimmicks of the 81 sp sl minus the chromed lugs. Late models are sometimes different.

Cosmetic items like the amount of chrome can also vary from market to market, depending on local market preferences. So, if your reference catalogue is from another country, don't get upset. For instance, around this time many Canadian market Bianchi models had full chrome forks, while USA market models did not. Upon seeing these models for the first time, most American members comment that the forks have been replaced due to crash, when they are actually factory installed forks.

hello everyone! new bianchi owner here! i recently bought a bike that was advertised as a tange-cro-mo bianchi from the 90’s. serial number is TS068367 and it had shimano shift levers, cranks, and a plastic plate over the serial number under the bottom bracket for shifting cables. it also has stickers saying “prestige super set II”. i uploaded pictures into my gallery and can upload more, much appreciated thanks!

Welcome to the forums.Your bicycle is a 1990-1991 Bianchi Alfana based on the serial number in combination with the Shimano 105SC. The lead character in the serial number is likely a partially struck 'I', which would make it September 1990 manufacture. That's late enough in the calendard year that it should be a 1991 model, though the celeste paint is 1990, at least for a USA market model.

Looking for a donor bike for another project I stumbled on this Bianchi - it's the only photo but for $60 I'm intrigued. Wondering if anyone has an idea of what it could be, my gut says lower-end late 70s - early 80s but that's purely uneducated speculation.

The subject bicycle appears to be a Canadian market, entry level, early 1980s, Bianchi Bici I.

I have the same bike. Same color. Same tab for a number plate.

If you purchased the bicycle, we can likely determine the exact date from the serial number.

That is not a tab for a number plate. It's a peg for mounting a pump.

I went to see the bike and it needed almost an entire overhaul. I'm still on the hunt for a good second bike, might have found what I'm looking for in another brand.

Hi everyone! I'm new on this forum but have been reading around with lots of interest. I recently bought a vintage Bianchi frame which I want to rebuild. I've been searching a lot for information about what year and model this is, but have so far come up empty. I'm wondering if anyone here could be of help?

The only information I have are the numbers at the top of the seat tube. These are 2354 on one side, and 1*V on the other. There are also some Nuovo Racing stickers, as well as a sticker indicating a Columbus frame. (There are some damaged letters on the rear wheel drops.) I tried uploading photos or including an Imgur link here, but couldn't figure out how to do it until I get 10 posts. (Not sure how to turn them into a gallery, like people said above.)

Any help would be really appreciated!

Welcome to the forums. What you have is a Bianchi Nuovo Racing frame, manufactured in Italy during 1981. I've never seen a "V" stamp on the seat lug and suspect it's a poorly struck "M", in which case it should be a 1982 model manufactured in very late 1981. Since this is a BianchI SN thread, I will add one that was acquired from [MENTION=84826]randyjawa[/MENTION] recently. Model unknown, no stickers but uses 27,2 post.
Based on the numbers on the ST, it is a 1971. Randy did some searching and determined this was one of the last models with an integrated head set, which is in great condition.

I'm getting ready to sell this Superleggera on Bike Forums and wanted to check with the group to see if you agree with me about the model year.
