Help: Trek 2300 year 2000
Hello, I'm looking for a Trek 2300 year 2000, preferably metal flake yellow. I've always wanted this bike but it's hard to find them. A few years ago one slipped through my hands and i regret it. If you can send a few photos of your own that would be appreciated. Such a beautiful bike and I would like some photos of it. Thanks!

Thanks guys...but is there any personal pictures that people have out there??

Are you going to dress up like Ronald McDonald when your ride that thing?

Perhaps try the road forum.
I didn't know 2000 was Vintage....I've got some Wine to Drink! |
Wrong forum (I see I just got beat to it). This is the classic and vintage forum. A 2000 Trek is neither. Maybe you can get some hits on the regular road forum.
As far as pictures, do a google search, and I can just about guarantee you will find links to Trek 2000s on flickr or photobucket. |
I've never seen one, but if I did in a 56cm, I'd probably go after it.
I like yellow, but I'd drop the red. |
I had a Lemond from late 90's. Looked similar. Same wheels. Yah, it loud wheels (in color). I like low key stuff. And I like a lot of spokes. Great looking bike though. Very retro 2000. 1" fork (threaded too, I thought they went threadless models by that time). I think starting with 98 Lemonds, most of the better models where threadless but still 1". BTW, those wheels are super strong. Well, I only weigh 135'ish and don't look for potholes. But they were nice wheels. I still have them. I think you will be limited to 9 speed though. Oh yah, wrong forum, go to the roadies. :)

The Lemond should be similar as Trek owns them. Roger

Around that time, they were basically the same bikes. I was just saying that the components were a lot like mine. Different frame. But I think that's Alu frame right? For a wheel with little spokes, those things were tough as nails. I still have them.
