PEKA, by Peter Serier
The next two bikes are cousins. Two shops, but one and the same builder: Peter Serier.

The PEKA got an extensive overhaul since I acquired it a couple months ago. I did some tours with it already and I can say I am quite excited everytime weather is inviting me for a ride

Very nice looking bikes. Are you in Wales? Are these Welsh bikes? Tell us about the components, are they both full Campagnolo?

I've never heard of either label before, but these are interesting, really attractive bikes. I'd like to know more - please share! Also: more photos, with some detail shots, please?

Thank you
More on the ensemble: no problem
Can't stop.
Both PEKA and Presto are from Amsterdam. PEKA was located at the Admiraal de Ruyterweg and Presto at the Haarlemmerstraat (Presto still is).
Origins in 'Amsterdam' >>

Same view of the Presto, no mention of Amsterdam >>

...but the headbadge leaves not much room for doubt: heavily inspired on the Amsterdam coat of arms. With both bikes >>

Another give away for the origins: the Presto top caps with 3 Andreas crosses >>

...where the PEKA only informs you he is a 'PEKA'

Yep, there is quite a lot content ...but indeed not one source specific on all Dutch 'wegfietsen'
A couple more detail shots >>
Open ends for stays and blades on both PEKA and Presto. The 1010B drop outs are ready for the 'portacatena' feature >>

...while the Presto actually has it >>

The portacatena function is operated through the little switch hidden under the right shifter >>

I happen to have another Presto frame that also has the portacatena system fitted. Possibly it was very popular at Presto. The philosophy must have been: finish race - collect medal - engage portacatena - trow bike in trunk - go home. Easy.
