Looking for Weinmann upright levers...

...such as were used on Schwinn tourers in the '60s and '70s. Racing hoods are common as dirt, but so far I haven't found any of these. Anyone know of an available pair

I may have one, maybe two of these? Not sure if they're the same as the picture, since it is pretty blurry? You talking about the same type that were on the stingrays, lightweights, etc? Not sure if they're different from side to side either? As in left and right? I can email some pics, and even polish them up close to new if they're the ones you're looking for?,,,,BD

I also have a set of those grips in really nice shape, if you need them? Clean originals, not repops!,,,,BD

The tourist style levers appear frequently on ebay and generally sell pretty cheap, except maybe the earlier eyestabbers(don't have the "ball" on the end of the lever) with the red dot pivots. These are the ones the StingRays use and the Krate/Ray guys will spend almost unlimited amounts of money on their bikes.

I need the levers for my old Motobecane; it's got Weinmann brakes, but has been converted to upright bars. The racing levers are cast to fit on the curved part of the drop bars, and require extensive fiddling to work with uprights. Doesn't matter to me if the levers have ball ends or not, I just need a matching pair.

So whatcha got, bikedued? I'd just as soon pay you as some stranger on eBay.

Sorry, ended up going to a swap meet for car parts. back home now, and will email soon. I was certain I had two Weinmanns, but it turns out one is weinmann, and one is not. VERY similar design though. Still want the pics?,,,,BD

Sure, why not? There's a couple single levers on eBay. I appreciate you going to the trouble to look.
