I'm sure this has been done before right? Who would want one? Who would be willing to design them? Maybe we'd have a contest for the design? Maybe we'd want the option of wool or not wool to keep prices down?

I'd like one. I'd even like a name tag on it with my "handle". I'm sure there are others here who might be into this. I'm sure someone has already thought of and maybe done this already...

so right now like Brian did, just post here and say if you're interested. I'll start to do some research on prices and start to organize the buy, if there is enough interest.

I would be interested in working on a design, though I'm going to need time to cook something up. It would probably be helpful to those interested in the designing to see the jersey the designs will go on first.

I'd be interested in a C&V forum non-wool jersey.

i didnt think this out very well (imagine that). I'm going to start a separate poll.

Count me in. Charles Wahl organized a group buy from Portland Cycle Works a while back but we failed to get enough orders to qualify for a discount. If it works this time, i'm for it.

I'd be interested in trying a wool jersey. I might actually have a "team" riding in the Tour de Cure with me and I had spoken to my Dad (does screen printing on the side) about doing custom jerseys for us. I was thinking about getting The Flying Dutchmen across the shoulders on the back (I come from Dutch lineage).

I can help with the graphics, if needed.

A high-quality wool jersey should last as long as you can still fit in it. I think they're worth the premium if you're able to afford it. Two wool jerseys and a cheap pair of knickers are the only cycling specific articles of clothing I own.

Man, I'm in! I've been researching patterns for vintage-style and front pocket jerseys for months now, thinking I might design my own. I far, far prefer wool jerseys over lycra and microfiber stuff. Classic color bands would be a plus.

+1. I have no preference for wool, having never worn one, but I'd like something I can wear in the summer, and still wipe snot on the sleeve in cold weather.

One issue that seems to be disruptive every time a wool jersey group buy comes up for discussion is:
The jerseys are made in China or they are extremely pricey. Might as well get the discussion started early...

I would stay away from actually using the word "bikeforums" to avoid any copyright issues unless, of course, Internet brands would endorse the little endeavor.
