This is not his only thread. He has posted pictures and even a video of his rear derailer in action. He doesn't need a rear derailer.

He doesn't seem to want to take any advice, so I'm through trying to help him.

What help have you provided other than to say how much you paid for Simplex and that I should stick with Simplex?

You could bite the bullet and for under $70 US, pick up this set of Simplex 610's. You can always use an extra rear gear.

Great find! That may be what I go for although I really hate ordering stuff from across the pond. That RD is in way better condition than mine. I just sent an email to make sure they still have the set.

I would love to have a set like this, but the set just sold on Ebay for $250:
