Seeking 68cm or 69cm frame

Hey bike forum -

I am looking for anyone out there who has a large, 65cm+ frame. I have been searching ebay and craigslist for the past few weeks, and I haven't been able to find one. I am looking to convert an old steel frame into a fixed gear bike, and I'd ideally like one of those old 27" frames, which convert into about 68cm or 69cm. I'm 6'7", and I ride a 67cm custom road bike, but I am looking to make this fixie without shelling out 2 grand for a custom frame. I know these old 69cm frames exist, I just can't find one.

Check the "frame doesn't fit" thread -- in the first post there's a link to a spreadsheet. I think that BF member noglider has a 68 cm cro-moly Nishiki, and it's too big for him.

I've got a 26 inch frame in my project queue right now (no 27 inch frames).

You should join and post a wanted to buy in the classified section.

I think you would do well with either, but the price is high on both, may just be your area.

THis is a 27" frame what I believe to be a 68.5cm frame. It's an NOS 1978 Raleigh Super Grand Prix. You really wouldn't want to ruin it and make a fixie out of it. But if you interested in a nice Vintage Bike your size PM me....

NOS 1978 Raleigh Super Grand Prix

As found NOS

Those seem to be from the same seller. I wonder what's up with the slack chain on the Fuji. The Miyata looks to be in better shape. They're pricey, but surely less than a custom frame. Where are you located?

9 1/2 years? That's half a generation ago--I think you can figure out if its gone or not, or click on the links and find out.

Are you personally looking for a tall frame? If so, specify size and any other important criteria, and add your location to your visible profile so that those C&V members in your area know who/where you are.
