Good question...no final decisions made. The more I'm thinking it through though, this is meant for a wall hanger, not a rider. I'm not a wall hanger. I'll probably ebay it abd take my chances since no one responed they wanted it earlier at that number (except maybe Fender).

Yeah...probably. Wish it fit
I could try it out, but then it's not unridden.
There are enough people who love them to make me wonder why and want to try one out. It's got better workmanship than the International, that's for sure.

At long last...
First the bad news...somehow between last night and today, the Schwinn bag with manuals and tools disappeared. I'm assuming wife or one of her employees, but thus far it's gone. GERRRRRR. Still needs a little cleaning and there is some dirt. Also...noticed a scratch in the stem and bars that I'm fairly sure weren't there yesterday
Derailleur is pat 73'

That sure is a pristine example! It looks great, it's not one of schwinns more exciting colors though.

Man, that's minty fresh. I can see what you mean - kind of the perfect museum piece right now!
I'd love to see/ride/own/clean/stable that bike, but I also kind of like the patina and old, worn Schwinn tires...

My opinion is that you have a very fine original example there, and Paramounts from that era are special. I get a lot of satisfaction from my Paramount (posted earlier in the thread) just looking at it hanging on the wall. That's where mine has spent nearly all its time since I got it. It is my size, and I do plan on riding it occasionally, but even if I don't, I enjoy it immensely. Granted, Schwinns have been a part of my cycling life for a very long time, and I love the fact that Paramount history is so well documented. In the condition my bike is in, it doesn't seem wrong at all to me to treat it like a "museum piece." And yours is so original, I think it would be quite nice to do the same with it.
I know you've already said you don't want a wall hanger, but I thought I'd give you my opinion since I have a '70's Paramount hanging on the wall.

I don't know how I managed to miss this thread, but I did.
I have one Paramount, my 71, that still had all the original cables. It had the original rotten tubular tires, too. It had been ridden, but barely. I cleaned it up and ride it, although it is one of the least ridden of my Paramounts.
By the way, those yellowed decals will lighten up with some careful cleaning. I have done this on a few different Paramounts.

Aaron, you can polish the rivets on the saddle. And the cables will probably come back to life if you drop oil into both ends of the housings. The cables (and housings) will be safe, even though they're old.

I'm watching it to see how much he fetches for it. Good luck Aaron!
