Phillips - Platex
hi everyone, excuse my english, as it is not my first language.
im new in this forum and i dont know if it is the right place to post it, sorry if it is misplaced.. recently i bought an old phillips bicycle, i think it is pre raleigh phillips because it says birmingham in some stickers. the thing is in the stickers in the front and rear badge says platex instead of the lion i usually came up to... is this somekind of model or family? do any body can help me with some of the phillips bikes history? i will try to post some pictures later. thanks in advance.

Welcome to C&V mrfong!
I know very little about them but I think it's safe to say that it is pre-Raleigh (1960) with those rod brakes.
Hopefully someone here can tell you more. Very nice bike BTW.

Very beautiful bicycle!
Your English is as good as anyone's, so don't worry about that.
And this is most definitely the place to post photos of that bicycle. We love them.
I agree, it looks pre-Raleigh to me; the later ones say "Nottingham" where this one says "Birmingham." The twin top tube design seems earlier as well, but I don't know the details about that.
As for Platex, I know nothing.
