For you as a seller, rather more than that. Or as my wife's boss, a commercial production sales rep, used to say 'Greed divided by fear of not getting anything.'

As helpful as all these comments are, I am talking as a buyer. I found a few bikes online with these components and was wondering what kind of resale value would be realistic of me to get. So once again what would be a movable price for these full groups?
Thanks
Thanks

There is absolutely no way to accurately predict value of an old bicycle or component, or component grouppo. I have sold 600 Arabesque groups for between $200 and $360 on Ebay. I once sold a single crank set for $160.00, on Ebay. The groups and the cranks were listed as auction items starting at $9.99 with no reserve.

Does that help? I doubt it, because there appears to be no way to determine how much another person will value an item at. Example...
I recently stumbled upon a set of drum brake SA hubs. I mentioned the find in Saved From the Dump thread. With-in less than an hour I had an offer, even though I had not offered the hubs for sale.

I declined the offer, even though it might have been a generous one. Why? Because I do not know the value of these items, so I am going to take a chance and offer them for $9.99 on an Ebay auction.
I will know the value, for sure, seven days later...

Hope they are worth something. I have a bike right now that has an Arabesque group in 100% perfect condition. The bike was never ridden. The crank set is really nicely styled, but some of the other parts are just OK in my book. I am a die-hard SunTour guy.

Bikes: Too many Bicycles to list
As someone who has been searching for 600EX parts for more then a year the prices for Shimano 600 stuff ( doesn't matter what group) are all over the place on Ebay. I have seen 6208 RD & FD go for as little as $35 for the pair up to $81 for the pair in the same condition. I put a lot of 600 stuff on my watch list just to see what it will bring and there is just no telling what it will sell for until the fat lady sings. Another example, I was looking for the 6208 6spd indexed shifters and they were selling from anywhere between $35 to $45 range but I picked up a clean set for $15 with $5 shipping at the same time. I like all Shimano 600 stuff from AX to Ultegra with the plain EX to be my favorite like the 6207 & 6208 group.

In my opinion, the 600 Arabesque components are a treat to the eye and they work about the same, as the Campy stuff, I have compared them to. Plus, my guess is that there are a way fewer Shimano 600 Arabesque groups, out there, than there are Campy NR ones. If interest in the Arabesque stuff continues to rise, then so too will the value.
And both are rising...

Update: This thread got me thinking. I pulled the crank set off a road bike I was going to work on at a later date. I think that 600 crank set is going to find a new home. It is a beauty, and looks N.O.S. The other bike had been collecting dust since Reagan's first term, so I need to do a rebuild/regrease on it anyway. As for the rest of the components, I will probably migrate them over and keep the originals wrapped in cloth in a box. Anyway, I still think I am going with Gran Compe or Royal Gran Compe brakes. I still can't believe how much time, effort and money I put into some of my bikes in anticipation of the great riding experience they will provide. Anyway, the 600 gruppo is like N.O.S., and I can't resist decent, fresh looking components for my bikes.
