"Help with old models"

Even the panthers require tact, courtesy, and honesty.
Plus money.

Well, I guess it depends how old.

Welcome to the forum.

I had a mint condition Huffy Sea Trails pass thru my hands a few years back. It was a basic 3 speed bike that weighed about 40 lbs and came with an uncomfortable saddle. I was happy to get $75 for it.

Actually... I've had thoughts of building up a single speed or 3 speed with those exact bend bars... flipped upside down. I'd have the 'drops' a bit closer to horizontal though.

It's funny, there are whole threads about flipping north road bars, but those bars are just obviously flipped.
Like if I turned up wearing skinny jeans (I'm 59).

Usually stem shifters and safety brake levers (turkey wings) indicate a low end bike. If you are looking for something high end, I would say to avoid it. If low end is good for you, I think the price seems good.

I've never heard of Panther. German seems likely enough; there have been a lot of German-made low end bikes with brand names we've never heard of. Just bear in mind that while Germans are famous for making nice expensive cars, they are not famous for making nice expensive bikes.
