How old is vintage/classic?
How old does a bike have to be exactly? Can an early 90's Pinarello be considered a classic or is it 80's and earlier?
We are approaching 2005 soon so I'm wondering how many years back counts as vintage, 10 years maybe?

well we've discussed this before, and it gets dragged out on CR list at least once
a year.
I tend to agree with the CR timeline. 1983 and older (which was the last year for
Super Record components), after this things started changing fast.
However, they make exception for "keeper of the Flame" builders i.e. Richard Sachs,
Sacha White, etc. who are building lugged steel frames. By that criteria an early
90's Pinarello could be considered.
Clear as mud huh?
FWIW I'd say 20 years old as a general guideline.
