It must really suck to race in all that car and motorcycle traffic.

I'm getting a kick out of that brake block installation. Predates the little rubber protector on the back of Nuovo calipers too, IIRC.

Watched it start to finish. Thanks for posting the link! Great stuff.

Also liked seeing all those flat-twin BMW motorcycles - I have 2 in my garage :D

Yeah - PouPou of the famous heaven/God/Merckx/Poupou joke.

Wow, great to have that whole thing on YouTube.

I just watched it last night by sending the video in full-screen mode to my 37" 1080 TV monitor.
I was pleasantly surprised how good that 360p video looked.

i splurged and bought a copy on DVD. I take it with me when I travel. It cracks me up that about the only time you see BP Lejeune riders is when they are in trouble of some kind. Wonder if that was a harbinger of the year for them.

Thanks so much for posting this link.
It has been years since I'd seen this and I had forgotten what a great film it is.

Thank you!

Forget about the bikes, I am growing some sideburns.

Did anybody else get an Elvis vibe from Eddy when he got out of that Volvo at the start. Baby blue polyester pant suit, sunglasses, sideburns...

No, but occasionally I get an Eddy vibe when I see Elvis.

This is perhaps the most perfect answer I have ever heard here on bikeforums.net
