Cool Groupsets

So ever since i saw matching groupsets on colnagos and other italian brands, i always thought it would be awesome to have one for one of my bikes. i was doing a little searching and i came across this pinarello one that would be great for one of my bikes, it doesn't look like it's it great shape, just seems ok, i probably won't bid on it cause i'd want something in really good condition.

Anyways just wondering how common this stuff is?, do these groupsets only come on bikes when you buy it, or did they sell them separately?

here's a really nice colnago one: https://cgi.ebay.com/CAMPAGNOLO-C-REC...item3cb736fd4e

the same seller's also got other cool items too....

Bikes: Serotta Davis Phinney, 1992 Serotta T Max,1984 Specialized Allez, Olmo, 1974 Strawberry,Redline bmx, ect.,

Because there 1952 and he probably doesn't want to loose them. If someone had a bike worthy of these or restoring a bike and needed them probably would buy them. Yellow Jersey recently had a bike from this era and was refreshed not restored and asking 5k. You could buy an Italian road bike and the major brands had the components engraved and were sold separately, so these parts were considered a cool factor back in the day and added onto the bike sale or some changed upgraded them later, but most people didn't. Again more bling in todays market.
