I'll treat myself to Panaracer Col de la Vie tires next time, though I have no complaints about the Schwalbes I recently installed

Slow? Weird. They look lightweight. I have ridden Paselas, and they are a bit fragile, but I don't mind paying that price for such a lush and fast ride.
Which Schwalbes? I have the Delta Cruiser, and it says "puncture protection" on them. I figure any Schwalbe tire that says that isn't kidding, given their great reputation for that. I can't rightly compare them with anything, since I haven't ridden 3-speeds or this wheel size that much. Well, I can compare them with the old dry-rotted tires on a 3-speed rhm gave me. Those are awful, but that's no surprise.

The Col de la Vies are light but they are a good 5mm wider and have a very grippy texture. I was surprised at how much of a difference it made when I switched to the old Michelins. I'll put the Delta Cruisers on this weekend and compare - I have them on my Dunelt but that's set up as a fixie so it's a whole other animal.
