A fun french bike for four
I came across this bike advertised locally.
It is a funky tandem with a two seater side car!
Hows that for fun!!

Where is the side car connected to the bike frame? It looks like something you would see in an Audrey Hepburn movie!

I'm not sure but it looks like it is connected near the rear seat stay at the side of the back car seat?
I would imagine it would be connected somewhere between the two cranks as well?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the sidecar is removable and swivels in turns. I think it connects below the 2nd set of handlebars and can be pulled off anytime! Why are Herbie The Love Bug and Don Knotts movies coming to mind? I like where the frame pump is located.

It would be really stylish if it had a "continental spare" on the back of the backseat.

I don't think Gitane made too many of those. It looks really cool! I'd snap that up if I lived in Paris!

Yes, you can pedal as captain, and your fiancee can sit up front in the side car with her mother in the back seat of the sidecar

The bike minus the sidecar looks like a Tandem version of the Sicur Brevetatto

I'm not very close to it really and i'm about a two hour train journey away. Best thing to do is to contact them and tell them you are interested in it.
Chances are they will understand some english!
To be honest i'm not keen to facilitate with this one as it is far from me and plus it would be a nightmare to collect for someone and then try to figure out how to box it to send etc.
I really did offer them a low price because it's a fun idea but i'm not keen on trying to collect it to bring back home even for myself.
I hope you understand.

It will be sad i this real cool rig gets away and end up as some sort of farm delivery bike hauling goats and eggs to the market.

Well i got a reply from the seller this morning and the minimum he would accept is 300 euros.
I wouldn't be willing to spend that sort of money on this bike.
But if anyone is interested in it then here is the ad https://www.leboncoin.fr/collection/2...96.htm?ca=19_s
I have seen these tandems before but they don't normally come with a side car!

Very pretty, perfect for a resort town with a boardwalk. But seriously, the tandem looks heavy to start, add not only a sidecar but a double!! Doing any grade what so ever seems impossible. Daveyates your marriage has been saved! Riding that back home, your future bride would have left you on the side of the road to walk home I'm afraid.
