Paramount as found...

Poor thing. I was hoping it wouldn't be my size. I had my sister facilitate it for me. Turns out, I'm kind of attached to it now.

What's up with the cranks? They have weird holographic decals on the arms.

It's not as bad as you think. It just looks worse because that area of the top tube had been painted black some time in the past.

Not much history other than it was given from one friend to another. Then the friend decided to finally let it go after years of owning it.

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

Great find. The SunTour rear derailleur is a functional upgrade, but a Campag. NR would be correct. The Sugino crankset is obviously aftermarket; Paramounts came w/ cottered cranks until about 1962, then w/ Campag.

What Suntour derailleur? Also, the crank is 144 BCD like Campy. Even has Campy chainrings.

It's got a late-model slant parallelogram Campy rear derailleur, possibly Veloce. The crank is Sugino Mighty Compe- 144mm BCD so the rings interchange with Campy. Sugino BB, too.

Nice find! Not a common saddle - that's a touring III, made in Italy. Take it off and you'll be very surprised how light it is.

Bikes: Waterford 953 RS-22, several Paramounts

H73262 = 262nd Paramount frame scheduled in August, 1973. Without the top tube rear brake cable braze-ons, it has to be a P13-9, which would have used three Campy #649 brake cable clips on the top tube. Head lugs and fork crown are chrome plated.

Sweet. I think I'm going to part it out since a lot of the original parts are missing. Then I want to get some Tektro R559 calipers mounted up with a good group and make it a good rider.

Sorry, Scooper - that's a P10. Fork geometry and the rear wheel clearance are the dead giveaways. Someone removed the top-tube braze-ons.

Dark colors tend to be better at hiding surface imperfection...

Look at a black scratched and dented car vs a white one in the same condition...

Yep, you're right. The P13 didn't have eyelets on the rear dropouts like this one.
