How reliable is Bikepedia?
I'll be taking possession of a GT Edge road bike tomorrow. Bpedia says it was made in 95 and 97 only and in TI. I see a few mentions of aluminum and steel versions. If I trust bp it must be a titanium 95; as the 2 versions are not remotely alike....

I've found Bikepedia to be quite accurate. Understand though that Bikepedia doesn't go older than 1993. So if Giant made a version of that bike before 1993, it won't be in their database.

What they list is usually accurate. They have many omissions on makes and models, of course. I googled "gt edge site:bikepedia.com" and it did produce a chromoly and aluminum version: https://www.google.com/search?sourcei...w=1680&bih=931
They had a few Mavic Zap equipped models. Now that's cool.

+1 Bikepedia is pretty good, but missing quite a few bikes. And my guess is they used statistics from the various manufacturers' catalogs and brochures, which are not always accurate.
But it is the first place I check for anything 1993 or newer.
