Kevlar bead (folding bead) 27" Michelin tires

I picked up a pair of these Michelin folding bead 27 x 1 1/8" (actual measurement 29mm wide) tires at the local community cycling center. Someone had donated them, they were new, unmounted. I put them on my Miyata 1000 and ooooh, what a great ride. Smooth, and lively, much lighter that any other 27" tires I've tried. I'd love to find another set or something like them. Any one have a source of folding bead 27" tires they'd like to share?

Try the pasela or pasela tg from panaracer, available in both wire and folding bead.

I don't think it's the folding bead you want so much as a supple sidewall where ride is concerned, though kevlar beads are much lighter.

Just go to any online retailer and look for skinwalls. The drawback is the sidewall can't take as much abuse before you cut the cords and the tube pops out through the hole.

Try biketiresdirect, performancebike, jensonusa, niagaracycle, etc. You are sure to find paselas or other good 27s.

Also, get lightweight tubes. 700C 23-28 ought to fit.
