Yeah I bought the bike for my Dad; he loved the cushy tires to ride around town with. Now I love those cushy tires to ride on gravel roads with; plus it makes a fine touring bike as well.

The 26 inch tire was a terrific choice in 1993 if going with a fat tire and it is still a solid choice today.

That's a lovely bike and my size- but...

As far as Bridgestones go... I think the red T-700s are quite sporty looking. I had the opportunity to get one this past winter, but I passed on it, as I have a garage full of keepers.

Exactly. Joe Blow isn't going to buy your bike. Someone who knows what they're doing will buy the bike and make a decision one way or the other. Personally, I think it's quite generous to drop it $100 just for the RD.

Here is something I recently bought, huge thanks to a member on here for facilitating the purchase. Wont have it for a few days, but I plan on changing the red chain right away and maybe putting a black turbo saddle on there.

I just picked up an 1991 RB2. Bike itselfs in great condition and has a Shimano 105 crank set. Paid $150 for it I don't know much about them but I've been told I got a great deal. Will post pictures when I hit 10 posts so I don't have to use this sites uploader

That's a fine specimen. The color is kind of nice, but a bit hipster for my tastes. This bike begs for gears and hills.

Been putting some miles on the "new" mb 1 and it feels so different coming off from a jamis dragon pro xc setup (due to the different geometry i think, since they are both steel). The dragon pro seems more like a racier type more nimble bike, while the mb 1 is more of a relaxed cruiser. The mb 1 frame has a very unique feel to it and feels like a very steady ride that just wants to go straight but also turns and climbs quite lively. Yet it feels sketchy riding without hands on handlebars. Does anyone know what I mean?

I have a Specialized Romin Expert saddle on my xo-1. I ride it every day, so it has to have a saddle that doesn't make me angry. I think it looks fine on there, but I'm use to it and the rest of the bike looks awful: bars only half taped, loose cables, pretty bad touch-ups to the paint and lots of grime. Unless you really like a Turbo, maybe just keep one around to throw on for pics.

My XO-3

I was bike shopping a few years back, saw this on Craigslist, researched to see if it was any good, found out about Grant peterson, bought it for $100, changed the:

Wheels (concave rims)
Tires
brake levers
handlebars
grips
stem
headset
seatpost
saddle
pedals
The bike racks were chipping the paint so I made a head tube bra out of some old inntertube and zip ties

Not too special, being a '92 XO-3, it was middle-of-the-pack in the XO series, with 700c rims. Also I'm not sure but guessing the tubing is not butted? Not sure about that part. But I know it's solid and I love riding it.

The '92 XO-3 had straight gauge Cro-Mo in the main triangle and fork, hi-ten stays.

I know that the 92 XO-3 was "nothing special", and the 93 and 94 were better. But it's still a good and versatile bike! I enjoyed mine when I had it a few years ago.

I just picked up this 1993 MB-1. The bike was pristine and clearly low mileage. I overhauled the bike but none of the grease was contaminated. The paint is nearly flawless. Really it was like taking apart a NOS time capsule from 1993. I've been using it as a commuter lately; it's fine bike to tool around town with. I replaced the tires with schwalbe supreme touring 26 x 2.0 tires and installed bmx style pedals:

I've had this Radac for about 20 years (belonged to a family member that died) and always had trouble making it work for me. It's a 57cm but has a 55cm top tube. I messed with it again a few months ago and came up with a usable combo of stem, bars and brake levers for a decent position. I'm running it as a 1x9 with an old 42T Biopace ring up front.

@Eric S. The shiny blue seatpost with the green Benotto tape works well with the decals and the silver frame. I'm surprised you can ride a 57, especially with a 55 TT. Damn sexy bike, though!

Looks like they’re guessing based on the Bridgestone name on the crank. Sweet disk brakes!

Submariner, with stainless tubing.

If you didn't know, it's a pretty safe guess that it is a Bridgestone by both the crank and the disk brake. Someone could have swapped them from a "real" Bridgestone onto this frame but what are the odds?

I have a stock XO-1. Tusk with caliper brakes. The issue is that I don't love mustache bars. I'm thinking about trying some dirt drops. I think the levers and bar ends will transfer right over. I've never tried dirt drops before. Thoughts?
