holiday, how's that DeRosa Atlantis working out? DID YOU GET THE ONE W/ 4 TOP TUBES?

KonAaron Snake 07-25-11 11:24 AM

They need to make a model called the "Smug Smaug".

XR2 07-25-11 11:31 AM

I believe you can twist the Berthoud enough for it to come apart. Until you install it properly in the seat clamp. Then it's being used as designed and the structural inegrity will stop such nonsense.

One of these days I'm going to buy a DeRosa AND a Rivendell and let them loose in a cage match to the death!

Kobe 07-25-11 11:37 AM

What ring size? The De Rosa needs room to move & dance compared to the Riv's sure footed & punching.

ColonelJLloyd 07-25-11 11:39 AM

It'll actually be a dungeon match. My bike dungeon (basement).

KonAaron Snake 07-25-11 11:40 AM

Am I the only one who would rather not know about Col. and dungeons?

ColonelJLloyd 07-25-11 11:43 AM

Dude, it's scary down there. Few have entered, fewer still made it out.

My De Rosa Atlantis beat up your dad.

KonAaron Snake 07-25-11 11:48 AM

Thank us for making lemonade with this thread.

ColonelJLloyd 07-25-11 11:48 AM

Precious!

You are not defined by the name on your downtube. You are defined by the flex in your berthoud saddle.

fender1 07-25-11 12:17 PM

^^^Sounds like one of those "inspirational posters" you see in confrence rooms......

fender1 07-26-11 06:52 PM

Bump. Still waiting for pics/video of the saddle as promised by the OP.

Six jours 07-26-11 07:24 PM

If anything, this is a more thorough test than the OP's...

ScottRyder 07-26-11 07:38 PM

Can we concur that the OP is lacking in evidence that the saddle in question is of poor design? If so, this negative rant should be considered invalid and worthless?

Innocent on all charges.

Scott

okay, I figured it out.

This thread is really an underhanded promotional thread intended to sell Berthoud saddles.

The OP comes on trolling and talkin' trash. This prompts others (like me) to spend time investigating the product. This will result in a certain number of sales of the saddle, as people see them, want one and are intrigued by them.

After all, they have super high quality leather. That is grossly obvious.

They have some innovative features like quick clips on the crescent.

You can get titanium rails at a reasonable price upgrade.

I think the thread is full of funsexdeathmagicsubliminal cues and misinformation. Hey, those Berthouds sure look good.

mkeller234 07-26-11 11:21 PM

This thread is magical. What got me thinking about magic?

Mike Mills 07-27-11 12:21 AM

Lol!

fender1 07-27-11 04:07 PM

Bump. I will continue to bump this until the OP responds. I have that kind of time......
