The weather has been horrible here the past three days. Yesterday most of the eastern part of the state was 30 mph sustained winds and a wind chill below 20 degrees F so I stayed indoors instead of doing the 58 miler I had planned from my folks place. Unfortunately I also missed out on a swap meet in Spokane WA so I'll have to plan better next year. The good thing was I scored some C&V stuff from my dad again including a Zefal frame pump and the original white Silca frame pump with Campagnolo head that came on the '89 Spectrum Titanium:

Being one who like French bikes and especially Vitus I like these:

Kit for the Spectrum:

Wool jerseys (pretty old from Performance back in the day). I have plans for the short sleeve ones for the Cino Heroica this year.

Neat! It looks to be a modification of an existing bike. Do you think the seatstays can handle the additional forces of the cantilever/V-/centerpull brakes?

It is a Ritchey mountain bike that had chainstay brakes... frame is Tange Infinity and the seat and chainstays are massive.

I think it will be just fine. :)

I'm sure you know what you're doing. ;) I'm only asking because I've wondered about doing similar modifications to other bikes that may have had thin stays and forks.

We're starting up a bike co-op in St. Pete and had a fundraiser to help buy tools and other supplies on Saturday. We made our goal plus got some great tools and parts donated, so it's full-steam ahead.

Nicely done guys! I follow you on da Fbook just because. I've spent a lot of time in Palm Harbor and until recently, even had two bike stored there. Would have loved to been able to donate them to you but they were given away. Next time I'm down I'll stop by. I love the mountain biking in the Tampa area, but riding the Pinellas Trail is what I really enjoy.

My car was absolutely full of bikes as I headed to the new bike coop. I was donating the bikes.

No room on the back seat for the dog, so she sat in the front passenger seat. She tried for a long time to figure out how to lie down in the seat, but she's too big. So here she is, with her head on my lap. Aw, so cute!

That's a bright spot in my day in the cubicle :) I had a ball riding for the first time in short sleeves this weekend though!

The nice thing about her putting her head in my lap is that she's been a shy dog and still isn't very cuddly. She's coming around.

93.9FM is one of the local public radio stations. I was listening to All Things Considered at the moment.

It looks more like the Colonel took a bigger hit than the stem.
