Yes, Cape Cod.

So, oysters, Vonnegut, nice beach and above all a fishermens' paradise? I have to go there one day! And I don't even fish.

Here's a little pic of what I've been working on today. The signature of David de Isac Cohen Nassy. A remarkable man living at the end of 18th century who spend his life running from debtors after a few failed ventures, but still managed to crank out a remarkable corpus of work ranging from a long treaty on the history of the sephardic community in Surinam to heartfelt poems to his dearly departed wife - a Portugese Jew in a Dutch Colony who emigrated to Philadelphia in the newly formed U.S. of A., corresponding with leading minds in Germany, Holland, England and France. And "they" say Globalisation is a new thing!

Note Sandy Neck in the distance. Sandwich boardwalk looks nothing like that.

rootboy..are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?!

I don't know what any of that stuff is, but I'm mighty impressed. Congrats on the new gig!

Have fun! I've spent many, many miles in a van just like that. I guarantee yours smells better.

Heh...I believe it was a safe assumption that Robofunc was inquiring about the photo directly above his post.
Not sure, but that's how I read it. Get it yet?

You're welcome any time, Italuminium. Lot's to do besides fish but in case you'd like to try, here's something to look forward to. :)

Alas, Vonnegut is long gone, so it goes, but his daughter is a very nice woman, and a good artist.
As for oysters, well, I don't do oysters I'm afraid. They don't fight worth a damn on the line. ;)

rootboy 03-15-13 10:47 AM

I know. I hesitated, but ...couldn't resist. ;)

Got it now! To avoid confusion, I usually "reply with quote".

Jeeze...

Yes, Robofunc. Both pics are from Cape Cod. And Billnuke, not sure which pic he was asking about, but assumed it was the one just above his question.

Pretty funny....

Hah, sorry for the confusion--I was talking about the photo directly above my reply. That choppy wave photo looks a lot like the view of Follins Bay Pond from my Aunt's house in S. Dennis. Really love visiting there.

Indeed. As you might be able to tell from the above pic..(five posts up:) ...I'm chomping at the bit for Spring. And Follins Pond is usually the first place we explore in the Spring. It is a lovely spot. Small world.
