That's why I went C&V with hunting - Talkin' Black Powder... Fewer people in the field and the ones who are only have one shot, so we tend to be a bit more conservative with what gets shot at. It's been a couple years for me as well but I'm really thinking about getting in the woods a little for late season this year.

Ball in cage whittled by a guard who works in the building. He used a scrap of mahogany left over from remodeling done for an office I worked in for 14 years. I gave him the Boker whittler he used to make it.

Here are some photos of the Fall foliage.
This is the area where I usually ride.
Today it is rainy so I drove around a bit, so as to share this fleeting phenomena with you all.

My wife shot this yesterday. Beverly the cow had no interest in dogs until yesterday. She lives with two dogs on her farm. But when she saw Waffle, my greyhound, her owner couldn't keep her away. Beverly wanted to touch noses with Waffle, but Waffle was too scared.

We have kind of a hidden gem around here, about the only place to call a bike trail...the Cape Fear River Trail...4.1 miles each way with some pretty scenery and some TOUGH hills...but it is a blast to ride, first time out there riding this morning...will be going back.
