Hahaha! I'm picturing someone who only likes pre-war path bikes or something like that!

More likely some sort of sub-troll, though. Trolling without posting???

S/he seems to be bashing indiscriminately, so my guess is a pissed off member or former member. Look at it this way, if s/he is bashing EVERYTHING, it's not personal!

Unless 80-90% of us have hacked the member off.

Marty, can you Mods tell who is doing this? Or is some sort of Spam-Bot?

I've felt bad for a couple new posters who received one star from this person. I'm sure they don't realize it's just someone pissed off at the system/community.

I don't even think the one-star bandit is pissed off, necessarily. I kinda just think they're a sub-troll. They're just popping in and ranking threads to get noticed.

If so, job done.

It's kinda funny that this thread got rated 5-star seconds after I started it.

I swear I didn't rank it. I don't think I've ever rated a thread, really but if I did I don't recall...

Haha. I DID rate it 5 stars, but only after it had been posted for a while. I've never rated anything before, but I have recently rated a few on threads that I thought deserved a high rating like Robatsu's Trek. I haven't rated my own threads either, that just seems wrong.

Bikes: Upright and Recumbent....too many to list, mostly Vintage.

What's the big deal, I thought one star was better than no stars??

5 stars is a lot of stars...the thread would have to include many many awesome things to get a full 5 stars.

One star is "terrible"; five stars are "excellent"...

according to who?

in Michelin's Parlance even One star is an accomplishment.

**edit**

answered my own question....apparently vBulletin isn't impressed with one star ratings. But what do they know.

https://www.bikeforums.net/faq.php?fa...rating_threads

look how happy Mario is with his one star!...we should all be so fortunate.
