Trailhead Bike Cafe is a pretty decent shop. They just built a custom set of wheels for my Pinarello and did a great job.

Any scoop on dis!?
Also: Anyone know of a shop that isn't Landis on Indian School or Tempe Bike that has an Italian BB tap? The only builder in town said he has one, but hasn't got back to me. I've had bad experiences with the two shops named.

Tsunami, though, he hasn't got back to me after I requested his expertise (see: him chasing a BB for me), despite offering money and/or beer! I heard Tempe Bike has an IT tap, but grrrrr. I was recommended the smaller shop, as I won't have to deal with the owners, and their managerial mechanic is a good guy.
As for the PHX ride this autumn: I will be out of town from approximately now until the end of September (Portland - JEALOUS?!). I'm hopeful this group ride doesn't coalesce until October. The Rossin is turning out stunningly, and I will have a hard time not wanting to ride it, but the Eagle will do better on multi-path (and look more awesome - and be more awesome for y'all to experience). Seems with the lack of deets lately, this probably won't occur until October, but I wanted to voice my biased opinion on when .

Later the better for me too. Need some bar ends for the bike I want to use for this ride. So the bike isn't ready and I don't prefer to bring a mtb for the canal paths. Besides, Oct. will be cooler temps. I heard this is the 2nd hottest season on record for the area.

August was atrocious. We set so many records, both daily and monthly. Looking at the average highs for Aug and Sept was just plain depressing. That rain last week helped this heat island so much though. 100 feels like long-sleeve weather in comparison to 110+ and high dew points. Personally, I cannot wait for October.

Tour de Fat this coming weekend.
With the previous request to not conflict with it, I'll assume it's not this weekend.
BTW, I'm slow as well.

Had it done about a month ago. Pretty sure Landis Scottsdale has one. I ended up (much to my chagrin) getting it done at Tempe Bike. They held on to the bike for three hours for a 2 minute job. Ugh. Price was okay though: $15 as I recall.
